Laurence van der Sande is the Digital Technologies Lead at Accenture the Netherlands. She is also responsible for the Applied Intelligence portfolio in the Netherlands.
Laurence joined Accenture in 2006, starting her career in the financial services practice. Between 2006 and 2014, her discipline gradually moved from software development in data warehousing and reporting to data management and (advanced) analytics. In 2014, she started building the Dutch Applied Intelligence business practice, focusing on unlocking business value through analytics (data science and visualization) and helping clients becoming insight driven-businesses (i.e. value, strategy, operating model, transformation).
The Digital Technologies entity is specialized in enabling technologies to support the customer experience (interactive) and product and operational excellence (Industry X.0). Applied Intelligence feeds both angles with actionable insights triggering human or automated interventions (analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation).
Next to her daily work, Laurence is a sponsor of the yearly data challenge (held at the Accenture Innovation Summit) and also of the 'Technology Inclusion & Diversity' agenda. With her team, she is committed to creating a culture where people can be their authentic selves while feeling at home at Accenture. The agenda encompasses gender equality, LGBTI, cross culture, working parents and inclusive employment.
Laurence lives in Amsterdam and likes to spend time with her boyfriend and daughter Lidewij. In the weekends, you can find her running in the Vondelpark.
